Shabby Kitchen Redo

Hello Friends!

My goodness I have not been on the blogging scene lately.

I have been very busy though and thought I would share my shabby kitchen redo.

Here it is "after"......

Here is the before. I have to thank so many bloggers for being so inspirational to me. I have wanted a "white" kitchen for several years now. Some of the few that especially inspired me were....

They all had that pop of turquoise that I loved.

Now for the "before". It wasn't that it was a "bad" kitchen. I did love it at one time, I was just ready for a change.

I am so loving my white kitchen now!

I love having the pop of color with the turquoise on the island.

My husband cut out the centers of two sets of cabinets so I could add chicken wire for more of a farmhouse feel.

Tracey from French Larkspur made a centerpiece for her table which I shamelessly copied, she was gracious enough to say it was ok. Thank you for the inspiration, Tracey!

I knew this vintage and shabby turquoise scale would be perfect in my newly painted kitchen.

More vintage goodies in the corner.

I started to distress the cabinets, I haven't finished this part yet.

I hope you have enjoyed my new kitchen. I still plan on adding some knobs and a chandelier over the sink. 

I did use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White and for the island I mixed that with a turquoise chalk paint  (I am unsure of the name).
