Birdhouse planter

Hello! I've missed you all. My husband has been out of town for 3 weeks so no time for blogging.
He really helps around the house, I am so lucky.

I saw a photo in a magazine, I am not even sure which one, Better Homes and Gardens maybe.
It was a planter that had a birdhouse in it with flowers all around. It was so colorful and pretty.
My husband didn't know I saw this and wanted to make one of my own.
A couple days later he showed up with a planter just like it! He said he found the most "broke down" one he could because he knew I would like it the best.
How sweet is he?

I found an Aspen tree branch my kids had been playing with and attached a birdhouse to it.
Added flowers...and here it is! I love it!

The finished results.

This is the original photo. Sorry about the quality, I took it with my cell phone so I would remember how it looked.
I didn't think I would be blogging about it!

Some delphiniams(sp??). I will have to give you a garden tour after I get back from vacation.
I love the purple color of these.

We had hail this morning which is an unusual time of day for us. Usually we get the showers in the afternoons.  It stripped a lot of my flowers but they will be back!
Have a great week.

  3. Hello sweetie! What a darling birdhouse so shabby and chic! I love the big barrel I would never have thought of that. Thank you for stopping by for a visit!
Have fun with your man on vacation!
    Squishy hugs,
