Fall snow storm and chili

I am thrilled that we had a snowy day today!
I've stayed in my jammies all day :)

The girls made a snow man, they had the best time playing outside.

Love their rosy cheeks. Taela (age 10) is ready for hot chocolate.

Kila (age 8).

Corn bread is a must if you make chili!

The day just called for some chili.
I first started with chopped peppers.

Onions

I make it the speedy way, these help a lot!

Saute in my birthday gift from my sister, my Le Creuset pot.
How I love this pot!

Add the ground beef and brown.

Add the tomatoes and beans.
Bring to a (almost) boil and then down to low and you are done!

I like to add jalapenos for added heat, a dollop of sour cream, a pinch of cheese and fresh cilantro.
Yummy!

The 4 inches or so that we got is almost melted and the sun has come out, love these Colorado days!

Have a great weekend!
