Weeping Cherry Trees and Raspberry Lemon Coffee Cake

 Hello friends!

I have been so busy getting my gardens ready for the growing season.
I have two Weeping Cherry Trees and they are my favorite.

This pink one is 13 years old now.

The other one has white flowers.
This one is about 4 years old now.

I made this yummy Raspberry Lemon Coffee Cake.

My Forsythia that I forced inside a month ago has finally bloomed! I thought it was going to go straight to  the leaves but the bright, yellow flowers finally showed off.

It's finally starting to come to life around my patio, so exciting!

Fully blossomed.

We are supposed to get snow tonight! NOOOO! I just want rain now, no more snow!
I hope my flowering trees make it through the cold.

Have a great week!

  1. Hi Shanon, I'm glad you visited me so that when I came over to visit with you I got to see your weeping cherry trees. I have been wanting one for a few years now, and I have just the place for one. That raspberry and lemon coffee cake sounds delicious. I'm following you now through Linky followers.

  2. Very beautiful, Shanon! Your yard is really coming to life!

I have always wanted a Weeping Cherry - perhaps this is the year!

    You have inspired me!

Sorry about your snow - really hoping it doesn't, that's awful after things start to bloom, ugh.

    Have a blessed Easter week.

  11. Beautiful shots Shanon, it is so hopeful to see signs of spring. I went and cut some white cherry blossoms today, they are dropping blossoms all over my house!! Maybe I should put them on the porch next time!! Your patio looks so welcoming, what a lovely spot to sit. I hope you are going to share that awesome cake recipe:-)

  12. Your weeping cherry trees are very pretty, and I know you are very excited to have all this color in your yard. We just got tulips, irises, and a few other spring flowers in bloom too, but as you said, we fully expect the temperature to drop. Seems spring tempts us early each year, then we are reminded how unpredictable the weather really is. I hope your plants survive tonight. Good luck!!! Thanks for linking up to my party this week.

  15. Looking at your pretty trees, you just reminded me that I need to go outside and cover my plum tree. It's supposed to get soooo cold tonight and, of course, the tree is just starting to bloom. Oh my goodness, not only are your trees pretty, but so is that cake. Gosh, that looks yummy!
