Favorite roses from the garden.....

Hello friends!
My favorite roses have started to bloom in the garden and I was so excited to bring them inside.
They smell so beautiful.
Usually they are creamier white, this year they seem more pink, is that possible for them to be a different shade? Maybe as they open more they lose some of the pink hue. I love them either way!

I've placed them on the sideboard which we walk by all day long so I can enjoy their heady scent and gorgeous blooms.

As I said in my last post (you can see that here) the winds really beat up the roses before they opened.
The outer petals show the scars and near freezing temperatures they endured.

Still loving my shabby, chippy French Market sign, too :)

Going fishing with the family tomorrow!
For me that means sitting back in the sun with a good book and magazine and watching my sweet husband and beautiful girls fish :)
.....and maybe take a photo or two.

Have a great weekend!

  6. Hey there Shanon,
My how your garden grows! (just like the nursery rhyme)
I love those gorgeous roses, tattered and all. They endure and are still beautiful & strong.
It's encouraging to read your previous post about trial and error. That's how I feel in our garden. We just try various plants & see how they do.
I'm so envious of all your peonies!
    Thanks for sharing,
    Susan

  7. Shanon! Your roses are so beautiful! I really want to grow some here but at my last house I had so many problems with beetles that I dug them all up and tossed them! I'd love to hear your rose growing tips!
